How this Reddit CQS estimator works

Reddit's real Contributor Quality Score (Lowest → Low → Moderate → High → Highest) is only visible to the account owner. It is not in any public or OAuth endpoint. This tool is an estimator built from public account signals: age, karma, comment share, recency, comment scores, negative rate, and trust flags. Anyone claiming to show Reddit's official number from a username is guessing too — we just show the math.

How the 0–100 score is calculated

1. 1

   Load public history

   We read about.json plus the last 25 posts and 25 comments. No login, no scraping.

2. 2

   Weigh what mods trust

   Age (20), total karma on a log scale to ~10k (20), comment-karma share (10), activity within 7/30/90 days (15), median of last-25 comment scores (15), negative-rate under 1 point (10), verified email / premium / not suspended (10).

3. 3

   Map to five bands

   80+ Highest, 60+ High, 40+ Moderate, 20+ Low, below that Lowest estimate. The breakdown table shows every point so it never looks like a black box.

Limits

This is not Reddit's number. Reports, removals, and private trust events are invisible publicly. Fresh accounts score low by design. No scan cookie; cached 30 minutes.
