How this best time to post tool works

“Best time to post” is not a universal clock. It is when a specific subreddit actually posts. Enter a community. Your browser loads four weeks of public post counts by hour and folds them into a weekday heatmap. Times on the page are converted to your timezone.

How the ranking is calculated

    Count posts by hour

    We fetch hourly post volume for the last 28 days. This runs in your browser. No Bright Data scrape, no five-minute wait.

    Fold into a week

    Each hour bucket is added to its weekday and hour of day (UTC). A Tuesday 14:00 UTC slot that was busy every week ranks above a one-off spike.

    Pick the hottest hours

    The three busiest cells become the recommended windows. Your browser then prints those hours in local time.

This is volume, not karma. It shows when the room is posting, not which threads later went viral. Use it to avoid dead hours, not as a posting calendar.

Limits

This chart does not spend your free scan. Coverage is the last 28 days of public posts, not removed threads, not comment activity. Small subreddits produce thin charts. Check the rules before you write, and draft the line with the title generator.

Is this in my timezone?

The heatmap is stored in UTC. The three recommended windows are labeled in your local time, with the UTC stamp underneath.

Why isn’t this weighted by upvotes?

Karma needs a scrape of individual posts, which is slow and often blocked. Hourly volume is enough to see when the room is awake. A busy hour of weak posts still means people are there to see you.
