How this Reddit thread TL;DR works

Paste a thread URL. We load /comments/id.json (top 100, sort top), flatten top-level comments, keep the top 40 by score clipped to 600 chars each plus OP title + 2,000 chars of selftext, and ask OpenRouter (temperature 0.2) for tldr, consensus, disagreements, and takeaways. AutoMod and stickied comments are skipped unless they're all there is. Without OpenRouter you still get an extractive fallback: OP's first paragraph plus the 3 highest-score quotes with permalinks. Cached by post id 24h.

   Consensus is what most agree on; disagreements list where the room splits — often the useful part.

   Steal the takeaways

   Quoted top comments link back to the permalink so you can cite or reply in context.

Who this is for

• Anyone allergic to 400-comment "YTA" spirals.

Limits

One of 3 scans. Only public, non-deleted comments. Sarcasm, edits, and late-breaking replies can beat the summary — open the thread before you quote it. Non-Reddit URLs are rejected; model payload caps at ~12k chars.
